The Vermont Morgan Horse tote bag began with an e-mail from a Vermonter looking for a personalized gift item for out of state visitors.  My customer had seen the Graduation Tote Bag I stitched out for my granddaughter and wanted a similar bag but of course a different design or logo.   In e-mail conversation I discovered the visitors were interested in horses.  Aha!  I knew the Vermont state animal was a Morgan Horse so I included an embroidery design photo of the Morgan horse along with two other horse designs for the customer to see.  It was a toss up; use all three embroidery designs or just one.  The embroidered Vermont Morgan Horse design was a winner in my eyes. I suggested that the Morgan horse for all the tote bags and the customer wanted “Vermont Morgan Horse” underneath the embroidered horse and add each visitors name above it.  

 The Morgan Tote emerged!  The personalized Morgan Tote sported a magnificent Morgan horse standing in a patch of green grass.  The Morgan Tote would be a reminder of their visit to a beautiful state with the name of Vermont and Vermont’s state animal. The Morgan tote was not only personalized but the embroidered design was of particular interest to the visitor. This was a thoughtful, beautiful and practical gift; symbolizing what Vermont is all about.  The trip to Vermont would long be remembered.
